Review of Xxiaze BoxMod

Greetings, dear friends! Today we have a very unusual guest, namely, a box mod for 2 26650 batteries! All it has is batteries, a black square body, a few buttons and 6 LEDs. But we will start, as always, with the appearance. The design is very simple and uncomplicated, and at the same time I think that the box mod turned out to be very beautiful. Black square body, old buttons and 6 LEDs, which I already mentioned. Despite the fact that the box mod is designed for two 26650 batteries, it is quite comfortable to hold in your hand, and it does not look too bulky, which is strange.

I’ve already mentioned LEDs twice, now it’s time to tell you about them. The box mod is equipped with a very primitive board, which is a kind of analogue of a variwatt/varivolt, only much simpler. The LEDs display the selected operating mode, there are 6 modes in total: Bypass/Max/80%/60%/40%/20% (% of the rated battery voltage). new zealand vape shop christchurch Below is a table from which it is clear that the maximum power of the box mod will be 200W, the minimum resistance is 0.1 ohm, in Bypass mode 0.15 ohm, and the maximum output current is limited to 50 A.

Now let’s get back to the controls. They are 4 buttons: the big one is Fire, two white ones are for switching modes, and the last lonely button is responsible for Reset the box mod when the protection is triggered. Despite the primitiveness of the board, all levels of protection are present: protection against battery overcharging, protection against exceeding the maximum output current, protection against short circuits, battery overcharge and overheating. It’s even somehow embarrassing to call such a board primitive.” Also below is a table of power in relation to the selected operating mode and atomizer resistance.

The connector here is no joke! From its appearance it is immediately clear that it was not made with a finger! First of all, its design is designed to cool the atomizer and something tells me that it should cope with this task perfectly. It also has an adjustable brass center contact.

The battery compartment does not stand out and is located under the cover. The batteries are connected in series, which indicates a maximum voltage of 8.4 V.

Box mods for 26650 batteries have always been a rarity, although recently a lot of box mods powered by 18650\26650 have been released, there are still only a few of them, and our guest is generally the only one of its kind. At least I don’t remember such box mods in my lifetime. I really liked the box mod, it provides exactly what I would like to see in any device, while it is devoid of all unnecessary slag like thermal control and similar functions. It’s easier to say what I don’t like about box mod. The only thing I don’t like about it is the price, which is about $200. But even despite its price, I am sure that it will find its buyer.
