Review of disposable UDN ORION BAR from Lost Vape
In this review, I will talk about disposables from Lost Vape with the tricky name UDN ORION BAR, a familiar design and four thousand puffs on board.
So another large company began to produce disposable items. One could expect something like this and bet on who and when will take the slippery slope of disposable Pod devices. Lost Vape has not yet started this process; even on the official website there is no data about the devices, as well as in online stores. We already have it, so if you’re interested, you’re welcome.
Upon closer inspection, you can see that the disposables are packaged in colorful cardboard boxes, on the front of which there is a stick, a warning about nicotine, the name of the device, the flavor and the number of puffs. new zealand vape shop richmond The sides are occupied by the main characteristics, certificate icons and social network tags. On the reverse side, in rather small print, are the exact values of the technical characteristics, the composition of the liquid, the addresses of the manufacturer and importer in the Russian Federation, restrictions and prohibitions, an expiration date with the production date and a sticker with an authentication code.
Inside, the sticks are packaged in disposable bags that are transparent on one side, but not sealed (the hole is clearly visible on the left). The disposable mouthpieces are closed with silicone plugs to protect them from dust. To prevent accidental switching on, adhesive tape is applied to the base; its photo will be below.
UDN ORION BAR – constructive
Why invent something new when there is a thoughtful and recognizable silhouette and proportions? Surely the designers from Lost Vape thought the same thing and chose the shape of the ORION family of pods for their first one-off. And then they called the one-time item exactly the same. If you don’t know that such a thing exists, it’s extremely easy to see this device in someone’s hands and think about the cool and bright color of the hearth. And then you suspect that you missed a limited edition, or you have to remember when pods were released in similar colors. And in fact, there is the ORION inscription on the side, the proportions of the box are correct, and there is a charging socket. And even the tank seems to be separated from the body by a characteristic broken line. As for what’s opaque, maybe that’s how it should be.
But as soon as you take the pod in your hands, all the magic of similarity instantly disappears. The device is completely plastic and very light. The lower part is covered with a soft-touch compound, and the “tank” with a non-replaceable mouthpiece is left glossy.
Disposable Lost Vape UDN ORION BAR – protection
Immediately after unpacking, the lower part will be covered with a shipping adhesive film, the main purpose of which is to protect the device from accidental activation. After all, like any disposable cigarette, this one turns on and begins to generate steam from the noise of your puff. And the fact that it works at all is confirmed by the glow of a blue LED.
Disposable Lost Vape UDN ORION BAR – charging process
The large volume of filled liquid with the relatively small dimensions of the case implies the possibility of disposable charging. This is also available here, but the connector is made in the now outdated micro USB format and the cable itself is not included. So if you have already completely switched to US and Type-C or are the owner of Apple equipment, you will be puzzled by finding the appropriate cord. There is nothing special to say about the charging current, about 0.5 Amperes when the battery is completely drained and about 0.3 Amps towards the end of charging. It will take about an hour and a half to fully restore energy.
Disposable Lost Vape UDN ORION BAR – tightening adjustment
On the bottom edge, in addition to the hole for the LED, you can also find a mechanical adjustment of the intensity of the puff, which allows you to change the inhalation force from completely free to conditionally semi-MTL.
Disposable Lost Vape UDN ORION BAR – size comparison
You can compare and evaluate the sizes of disposable UDN ORION BAR with common things (AA battery or lighter), as well as other pods from Lost Vape, in the photo above. I don’t know the exact number of flavors released; according to indirect information, there are at least nine of them; I only got three for testing.
Inside each disposable device there is a battery containing a reactive alkali metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.
UDN ORION BAR – MANGO ICE
The mango aroma is impressive! That’s right, with a capital letter. As soon as you open the package, everyone around you immediately begins to have an involuntary attack of salivation and envious glances automatically turn on. The taste on the inhale, in addition to being rich mango, is also sour and creamy at the same time. A deep puff adds honey sweetness and that very taste of a real ripe mango. As for the ice promised in the name, I ask ardent fans and those ready to give their souls for a portion of the Malaysian cooler to refrain from rash actions. The coldness is purely nominal, its presence can only be noted during exhalation. The aftertaste is as luxurious as the mango itself, with slight alcoholic notes at the beginning and a persistent long sourness at the end. Personal opinion: buy without hesitation as soon as you see it on sale.
UDN ORION BAR – MANGO PEACH
The second flavor is also mango, but this time paired with peach. The smell is pleasant, but the peach plays a leading role, and the mango hides in its shadow. I can’t call the scent particularly outstanding, but it’s not bad either, it’s just normal. The inhale taste is moderately sweet, gaining peach sourness as the steam moves deeper into the lungs. The fruits are perceived well and distinctly, but their ratio is somewhat disappointing. I would like it to be at least equally divided, and not the classic 70 to 30 with a predominance of peach. The exhale is velvety and soft, the nicotine is not felt at all, but makes itself felt after 5-6 puffs. The peach is moderately sweet, and the mango adds sourness and mood. The aftertaste is even colder than that of the first mix; there is a characteristic cooler taste that spreads across the palate and goes to the subcortex of the brain.
Personal opinion: calm taste for daily vaping.
UDN ORION BAR – CHERRY COLA
The aroma of cherry cola immediately after opening is shifted towards cherries, or, I would even say, cherry juice. After the start of steaming, tones of sweet and warm soda join the berries. Overall, it smells pleasant, without any watery notes or hints of bitterness. The taste on inhalation is cool cola-flavored jelly candies, a deep puff freezes the trachea and adds sweetness, and during exhalation a delicate cherry flavor awakens. The aftertaste again makes you think of gummy bears, but this time cherry, as if you have two or three of these candies in your mouth at once, sweet and sour and with a slight starchy aftertaste.
Personal impressions
I don’t know what the mixologists from Lost Vape came up with in other flavors, but these three are very, very worthy. And mangoes are simply gorgeous and a must-buy. On the technical side, personal impressions are as follows: the design is pleasant, the form factor is convenient, the weight is minimal, recharging (albeit with an outdated connector) is available, as well as tightening settings. So for complete happiness, the only thing missing is a manual power button. But this will already take the device to another league, so it can be considered a personal quibble and just a wish list.
