Review of CYCLE BAR disposable system from MOFF

In this review, I will talk about an interesting Pod system called CYCLE BAR from the company MOFF, which pretends to be disposable.

Vaping essentially took place and became established. New devices are familiar and almost never surprise us. However, extremely rarely, devices are still released, looking at which you just want to say “what are you?” The set described below is just one of these. MOFF designers and engineers were able to combine two popular approaches: disposable and closed system pods. From the former there is the principle of storing liquid, and from the latter there are replaceable cartridges and a rechargeable battery pack.

The disposable MOFF CYCLE BAR arrived to me in a small gray cardboard box. There is not a lot of information on the sides, but from it you can learn about the main features of the set, characteristics, flavors included in the cartridges, warnings and restrictions. Once you open the boxes, you will receive a set of five liquid reservoirs and one battery. All of them are packaged in disposable transparent bags, and the cartridges are additionally protected with silicone plugs. Which is important, because four out of five in a pocket without protection will collect dust and small debris.

The battery is housed in a rather nondescript gray plastic case, most of which will end up hidden inside the cartridge. The visible part is made with a ribbed surface, which improves the grip in the hand. You can also see the Type-C charging hole and the LED peephole. On the upper thin part there are holes for air intake, under them there are four protrusions: the horizontal ones – latches – will hold the cartridge, and the vertical ones – guides – will help to position it correctly relative to the contact group. The contacts themselves are located at the upper end in the form of the usual spring-loaded stumps. Nearby there are two holes supplying air. Hidden behind them is a puff sensor, which turns on the vape.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – Replacement cartridges

Replaceable cartridges are made of transparent plastic on the outside and a colored layer on the inside. The shape is a rounded square, which is convenient to hold either in your hand or clenched in your teeth. Fortunately, the light weight allows you to do this without unnecessary stress.

On the sides you will see the name, a brief description of the taste and nicotine concentration. If you look inside, you can see the grooves of the guides for docking with the battery pack, and even deeper – the contact group embedded in the silicone plug.

Inside the battery pack there is a battery containing a reactive alkali metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household waste, but should be taken for recycling or special disposal.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – SOUR APPLE

It smells like a classic, slightly unnatural and sour green apple. The inhale taste, even despite a decent amount of nicotine, is very soft and pleasant. The apple tastes good, moderately sweet and pleasantly sour. A deep puff and subsequent exhalation only develop the initial sensations, and the aftertaste leaves an apple taste in the mouth for a long time. Result: a good imitation of the taste of a sour apple.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – LUSH ICE

The aroma of watermelon is sweet, almost honey-like, but with noticeable rind tones. The taste on the inhale repeats the smell, watermelon is recognizable from the first puff, the wave of sweetness during a deep inhalation is at the upper limit of the permissible sugar content, right up to a slight bitterness. But I didn’t notice any chill as such; the taste here is smooth and the same at any time of vaping, including a long aftertaste. Result: extremely sweet watermelon taste, but without the promised cooler.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – MIXED BERRY

I can call the smell standard – strawberries, raspberries and a little cranberry. The taste is to match, rich, soft, moderately sour and optimally sweet. If you were looking for good wild berries, then this option would be the ideal choice. There is simply nothing more to add here.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – ORANGE SODA

The aroma instantly reminds of a soda like citrus Fanta, and not with the classic orange, but with its red Moroccan version. The taste on the inhale is very fresh, with an imaginary sensation of soda bubbles on the tongue and a bright zest flavor during a deep inhale. On inhalation, the watery soda quickly and strongly gains not only the concentration of taste, but also sweetness, without losing the sour note characteristic of orange, and the aftertaste remains a soda taste that is well known to the drink. Bottom line: an extremely good imitation of forfeit, except that it lacks the chill.

MOFF CYCLE BAR – BLUEBERRY ICE

The blueberry aroma is not the brightest and most distinct, but it is quite recognizable. The taste on the inhale first of all surprises with a large amount of sugar, but does not go into jam or preserves; blueberries quite accurately convey the taste during the exhalation and surprise with the sourness in the aftertaste. But again they didn’t deliver the cold stuff. Bottom line: just blueberries, tasty and sweet, perfect for every day.

MOFF CYCLE BAR. Personal impressions

I have only tried half of all the available MOFF CYCLE BAR flavors and based on my impressions, I can predict that the rest will be at least as good. All mixes are smooth and decently sweet, with a well-balanced sour note. The only complaint is that there is little (or no) cooler, even in those flavors that say ICE in the name.

As for execution, the solution is interesting and, it seems to me, promising. With this approach, you get all the advantages of disposable devices (rich taste and no leaks) and the positive aspects of closed systems (rechargeable battery and quick-change cartridge system), plus the ability to buy the flavors you like without purchasing another battery. We just have to wait until such sets prove their practicality and appear on the shelves of our stores.
