Review of Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Kit

Drizzle Fit Kit Packaging

I purchased the kit in an orange cardboard box with a picture of the kit on the lid, just the color that was inside. In addition to the illustration here you can find a huge Prop 65 warning about the dangers of nicotine (as usual, searching for it inside did not lead to anything), the name of the mod Drizzle Fit and instead of the usual catchy slogan a modest signature WITH DRIZZLE TANK. The back lists the kit and main specifications, there is a long list of Vaporesso’s merits and regalia, a barcode, a serial number (more precisely, the Batch number) and the name of the color design of my device – just Silver.

The kit under the lid turned out to be not that rich, but at least self-sufficient. vape chargers in new zealand There is a spare flask and vaporizer (one, however, is already installed and adds a specific flavor to the liquid), a small charging cable and a set of orings.

Drizzle Fit Kit appearance

From the technical point of view, we are facing not any Pod, but a real, “classic” boxmod with a built-in battery and a “semi-maintainable” (usually this term means something in which you can replace the vaporizer) atomizer. We will consider all this in more detail below, but for now I can only show the approximate dimensions of the device in the hand.

Dimensions of the Drizzle Fit mod

This little thing, if we talk about Drizzle Fit battery mod, is smaller in height than an 18650 battery, and weighs quite a bit. There are no sharp corners and edges, everything is rounded and smoothed, and the device fits perfectly in your hand. It seems to me that there would be a lug for a lanyard on the body, some pod-systems, which can be heavier, and then have such a feature.

Vaporesso Drizzle Fit Kit Colors

Vaporesso is releasing the kit in eight colors: black, silver, gold, red, black-green and black-red (speckled), rainbow and red-blue (gradient). Interestingly, the silver one, as in this review, in some stores I met not with black body elements, but with chrome. However, on the manufacturer’s website, the Silver coloring looks exactly like the one I have.

I will try not to dwell on the tank for a long time, because in my opinion, it is a functional atomizer, but absolutely boring. Even though it has its own features, which can be called interesting.

On the top and bottom of the Drizzle Tank there are notches on the metal parts, which make it easier to unscrew the refill cap and change the vaporizer in the base. On the upper plane there is laser engraving VAPORESSO, on the lower plane there is the name of the device, standard inscription, who invented and produced the atomizer, as well as standard pictograms with the prohibition of disposal and compliance with EU regulations. The plus pin is gold-plated and even protrudes above the minus thread of the connector. But since it is “floating” (read: supported from inside by the vaporizer), it can change its height in an unpredictable way. In short, it is dangerous to screw on mechmods with a hybrid connector.

Complete drip tip of the Drizzle Tank

The mouthpiece can be a big disappointment, since it is not a 510 drip tip, although it looks very similar from the side. A plastic tube is put on a steel tube, which protects your lips from the metal heating up from the steam. Here a logical question arises: why then was it necessary to make this part removable? In fact, it makes sense, since the airflow adjustment system is located right in the lid.

Vaporesso Drizzle Tank tightening adjustment Vaporesso Drizzle Tank tightening adjustment

The adjustment is carried out by turning, there is a mechanism that allows you to adjust the size of the open hole. The tightening is adjusted from very tight, like a cigarette, to semi-free, almost like a hookah. The rotation is moderately tight, it occurs without excessive force, but it does not get lost from touching. At the same time, if you turn the cap counterclockwise a little further, where you need to apply a little more force, the cap itself will begin to unscrew.

Vaporesso Drizzle Tank Steam Pipe

The steam pipe leading to the evaporation chamber has a double wall. Air enters the lower part of the atomizer along the outer contour – into the base – and from there from below to the evaporator. The steam already formed on the winding comes out through the central channel. That is, we have a “spill-proof” tank with an upper air intake, but a lower blowing of the coil.

Vaporesso Drizzle Tank Filling Cap

The lid is connected to the steam pipe by a thread; the glass is not covered by anything, so you need to be careful when filling. The flask is held on the base by a wide o-ring, if you do not touch it specially, it will not fall off the tank.

Base with an evaporator and the capacity of the Drizzle Tank

The base is also held on the thread, the connection is sealed with o-rings: one is on the body of the atomizer, the second under the evaporator. In the photo above, inside the lower part of the shaft, you can see narrow gaps through which the air taken in enters the base of the atomizer.

Base of the Vaporesso Drizzle Tank

In the center of the base there is a socket where the replacement is installed: in the raised part there are two slots through which air enters the evaporator. As you can see, there is no thread for the evaporator, and it is held (well, how it is held …) in the center only due to the silicone o-ring. If you decide to replace the evaporator with the tank filled (the design allows you to do this without problems), the coil may no longer be in the base, but in the steam line. However, this does not affect the operation in any way, you can safely assemble the tank even like this.

EUC Mini Evaporators

The Drizzle Tank requires special evaporators, labeled EUC Mini CCELL Coil (1.3 Ohm) and EUC Mini Traditional Coil (1.4 Ohm). Interestingly, despite the resistance of the evaporators, the supported resistance of 0.3 to 1 Ohm is indicated in the battery pack specifications on the device page. Although it is already clear from the included replacement coils that there is an error. The evaporators are a variation of the rather old EUC system, which I first encountered in the Estoc Tank Mega back in 2016, but here in a slightly modified version. One of them, the CCELL 1.3 Ohm, also has a ceramic “shirt” as a wick.

Refilling the Drizzle Tank

Before using a new replacement coil for the first time, you need to wait a couple of minutes until the wick is soaked with liquid. Five minutes is enough and you can vape. In the meantime, let’s look at the mod.

Appearance and design of the Drizzle Fit Mod

The Drizzle Fit battery pack, which is the name of the entire set, is a small “box” with a single button and indicator. Moreover, the button is the entire front rough part, like in Armour Pro, and the place where the pressing occurs is simply highlighted on the rough surface by a glossy square with rounded corners. This design of the button is extremely convenient on the one hand (you don’t need to aim, the entire upper part of the “lever” is pressed), and on the other hand, it is not very practical: something will always get into the gap between the parts. And some stuck debris can lead to the fact that the button will eventually stop pressing.

Dimensions of the Drizzle Fit mod

Perhaps, we can say about the mod that this baby is even smaller (by 1.5 mm) than the Target Mini. You can literally hold the Drizzle Fit with two fingers, i.e. the device together with a full-fledged (almost, if you don’t count the “castrated” drip tip) can easily compete in compactness with modern pod systems.

The body of the device is made mainly of zinc alloy, the top, bottom and “shirt” are metal, and the only exception is the plastic button. On one side there is a practically invisible engraving with the manufacturer’s name, on the opposite side there is a charging connector. The device has a simple, but at the same time nice appearance. It is very convenient to use, despite its tiny size.

The appearance of the Drizzle Fit Mod from above

On the top platform there is a 510 connector with a spring-loaded brass pin. The negative part with the thread has a diameter of only 11 mm and is slightly raised above the body so that the atomizers do not scratch the paint of the battery block. The free space will allow you to screw on any tank or dripper with a diameter of up to 22 mm, anything larger will already protrude from the front. In addition to the connector, there are also mounting screws for a Torx T5 screwdriver on the top, two exactly the same are located below.

The appearance of the Drizzle Fit Mod from below

On the bottom you can find an oblong gap, apparently serving as an opening for emergency gas release from the battery, as well as several white inscriptions with standard pictograms, a mention of the manufacturer’s name and country of manufacture. In the photo above, if you look closely, you can also find the batch number of the device, in my copy it is VSGB48.

Drizzle Fit Mod Control and Indication

Drizzle Fit Mod Indication

The mod control is quite simple and seems to have migrated here since the times of eGos – a single button. Pressing it produces a distinct click, but also a rather loud plastic click. The board is turned on and off by a standard five-fold press, while the LED blinks in turn twice in each color (red, blue, green). When you press the button, the indicator shows the approximate battery charge level with its color:

green – high charge level (namely High level, without specifying a specific voltage);

blue – medium (Medium level);

red – low (Low level).

There is also a simple setting for the supplied power (most likely voltage). After pressing it three times, the LED shows with its color which mode is selected:

green – high power (exactly High mode, without any numbers or clarifications);

blue – medium power (Medium mode);

red – low power (Low mode).

Interestingly, switching the power is only possible when using the complete evaporators and generally winding ≥1 Ohm. If the resistance is lower, the mod will always produce “high power”.

Charging the Drizzle Fit Mod

When the battery is completely discharged, the indicator flashes red three times. When connected to a charger (5V / 2.5A), the current consumption was about 0.8 A, which is still lower than the promised 5V / 1A. The whole process took almost two hours (1:51), according to my measurements, I managed to pour 1344 mAh into the device. You can use the device while charging, the board supports the pastru mode. With the cable connected, the indicator shows the approximate stage of the process with its level, i.e. it changes first from red to blue, and then to green. After completion, the LED goes out, but judging by the device with which the measurement was carried out, charging with a small current continues for several more minutes.
