Today we will study the new product from Eleaf in green, and the tank, as you can see, in gunmetal. Let’s start with the latter.

Eleaf GS Air 4 Tank Atomizer

The GS Air 4 Tank is made of stainless steel and has very modest dimensions. Thus, the height of the device is slightly more than 47 mm, and the diameter at the landing is 19 mm. The design of the device is restrained and laconic, without any bright and recognizable elements. Since the atomizer from the kit is universal in terms of puffing, it has a flexible airflow system. This parameter is adjusted through the lower AFC ring, under which there are either several small holes of small diameter for MTL or two wide holes for RDL on both sides. The Mini iStick 2 battery pack impresses with its small dimensions at first glance. The height of the device is only 54mm, and the width and thickness are almost 33mm and 21.5mm, respectively. The device is made of metal, feels monolithic and well-assembled, and the rounded edges give the mod even more ergonomics. On the front side of the box mod there is a control panel with a Fire button, power adjustment keys and a USB Type-C charging port. Of course, there is a screen, but it is much smaller than the black plastic insert.

The sides of the device do not have any decor, but there are barely noticeable inscriptions with the name of the device and the manufacturer. Black screws are visible, holding the case together. There is nothing else for the eye to catch on here. The back of the box mod, resting against the user’s palm, has a noticeable rounding.

The battery block connector pad is equipped with a barely protruding metal 510 connector with a spring-loaded pin. Screen and control of the Eleaf Mini iStick 2 box mod

A simple board with limited functionality is installed inside the box mod. The device is turned on by traditionally pressing the Fire button five times. The main screen by default displays the varivolt mode, battery charge, evaporator resistance, and voltage supply graph.

The voltage and power output by the mod can be adjusted. In the first case, the range is 1-5V, and in the second – 1-25W. The power is adjusted in 0.5 watt increments, and the voltage in 0.1 volt increments.

The device has a menu that can be accessed by pressing the same Fire button three times. Here, the user can select the preferred vaping mode (variable volt or variable watt), slightly modify the main screen (SYS), and also activate the display shutdown at the time of puffing.

In the mentioned SYS menu item, depending on the vaping mode used, the voltage or wattage, puff counter or performance graph can be displayed on the main screen as additional information. The new product from Eleaf turned out to be quite controversial. On the one hand, the kit should be praised for a relatively good delivery set. Both devices pleased with their build quality, and the tank impressed with a flexible airflow control system that provides both a free and truly cigarette-like puff. The box mod, in turn, can boast of truly compact dimensions, as well as a simple and understandable board that is not overloaded with various and not always necessary functionality. The battery, although not the highest capacity, but with fast charging.

On the other hand, there are moments in both devices from the kit that cannot be ignored. Thus, the promised automatic puff triggering system refused to work adequately. To activate this mode, you either need to pull very hard with the airflow fully open, or set a tight draw, and only in this case the box mod understands what the user wants from it. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will be able to comfortably use the setup with free draw. And the need for such technology here is also very controversial. Another not very pleasant moment was the evaporator with AST technology advertised by the manufacturer. By the way, there are no complaints about the latter, and the coil gives a good flavor transfer, but the picture is marred by periodic burns, even if you keep the output power in the middle of the recommended range.
