Review of Geek Bar X6000
Each device is packed in an individual box of bright color. On the front side, besides the standard nicotine warning, you can find the Geek Bar brand logo, the device image, the name of the mix, strength and volume of liquid. On the sides, in addition to the name of the X6000 device and flavor, there are cautions, restrictions and warning pictograms, stickers with an originality check and a barcode with expiration date and batch number. On the back you can find the capacity of the built-in battery, composition, details and address of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, the manufacturer either approached without imagination to the choice of colors themselves, or saved on the designer, because some disposables (Rainbow Sugar and Peach Mango Guava, Menthol and Lush Ice, Blue Razz and Blueberry Jelly) have not only the same colors of the devices themselves, but also exactly the same prints on the packaging.
There’s another Geek Bar logo on the top flap of the box, and a product barcode on the bottom flap. Inside the device is hermetically sealed in a matte transparent cellophane bag with notches on one edge, the contents can be reached without special tools.
Appearance and construction of Geek Bar X6000
The X6000 disposable is made of plastic and has a two-piece body: the lower part is matte, the upper part, ending with the mouthpiece – glossy. two mints vape On one side of the device the manufacturer put the name of the brand, on the other side – the logo and the name of the flavor. So you will definitely not forget what you have in your hands, even without packaging. Naturally, no buttons or screen are provided here, the electronics are simple, triggered by the puff. The shape of the case is quite unusual – it is a cylinder tapering to the bottom, and also strongly rounded at the bottom. But on a flat surface this barrel stands quite confidently.
Dimensions of the GeekBar X6000 one-shot
Perhaps there is some sacred or just incomprehensible meaning in this shape, but due to the size of the disposable itself – the diameter of these “sturdy” in the widest place is 30 mm (!) with a weight of over 60 g – such a device will not fit in every pocket. It is rather a place in a bag or backpack.
Features of Geek Bar X6000
Case material: plastic
Height: 110 mm
Diameter: 30 mm (at the widest point)
Weight (filled device): 61-62 г
Battery: 630 mAh built-in battery
Charging: USB Type-C
Refill volume: 14 ml
Strength: 50 mg
Approximate number of puffs: 6000
In addition to the bag, the new device is thoughtfully covered with silicone “plugs”: the mouthpiece is sealed with a stopper on top, and the bottom of the case is covered with a cap that protects the charging connector and the air intake hole. These details also help prevent premature vaping. If you plan to use the device for a long time – and Geekvape marketers have calculated that you will be able to use this device for 20 days – then I recommend to keep at least the upper “cap”. You will probably lose the bottom one very quickly. The mouthpiece of the one-time Geek Bar X6000 is round and has a silicone insert inside, narrowing the opening to 3.5-4 mm. The puff of the device is something between MTL and semi-hookah, you can even puff directly into your lungs. Although it is dangerous to abuse it at such a strength. At the bottom of the body there is a USB Type-C connector, air intake hole and LED.
Charging the GeekBar X6000 One-Shot
The LED is quite tiny and burns with white light, there is no bright neon illumination here, which is already unspeakably pleasing. It also lights up during charging, which, according to my measurements, is about 5V/1A, after the end of charging the LED turns off. When the battery is low, it flashes ten times and the electronics stop responding to puffs. That’s all the simple controls, typical for almost all disposables of any brand.
Geek Bar X6000 flavors
At the time of publishing this review, the entire line of Geek Bar X6000 disposables had exactly ten flavors. All of them (to the extent possible, it will become clear later) are described below.
Inside each disposable is a battery containing a chemically active alkaline metal – lithium. Such batteries should not be thrown away with household garbage, but should be handed in for recycling or special disposal.
Geek Bar X6000 STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE
Manufacturer’s description: pop in your favorite snack bars!
GeekBar X6000 Strawberry Milkshake single-serve packet
As soon as you open the packet, the aroma of sweet strawberry milkshake immediately wafts around. But not the kind with lots of fresh berries, but rather a generous spoonful of fresh jam. When paired, the mix resembles something between a creamy strawberry candy with a light, ghostly sourness, and warm, melted plombière. One of the few flavors in the lineup that doesn’t seem to have added a cooler at all. It is there, but you notice it after a puff. And despite the high strength, the nicotine here is not felt more than in other mixes. And in general, it is very tasty, although sometimes it seems that you eat dry cream with strawberry instant drink.
Geek Bar X6000 PEACH MINT ICED TEA
Manufacturer’s description: A tart splash of mango on your taste buds
GeekBar X6000 Peach Mint Iced Tea single-serve.
Here with the description the manufacturer clearly messed up something, there is not even close to mango here. From the device is heard mostly saturated mint flavor, behind which is rather faintly distinguishable fruit – peach is hidden in the background. But in the puff it is the main one: despite the sweetness, it is green, with a feeling of bright and tart skins, which can be quite taken for the very “tea”, even with a portion of fresh mint on the exhale. Surprisingly pleasant, both the fruit and a slight chill on the throat, with an aftertaste reminiscent of starchy minty bubblegum.
Geek Bar X6000 PEACH MANGO GUAVA
Manufacturer’s description: A fruity blend with multi-layered vapor flavor
GeekBar X6000 Peach Mango Guava Single Vapor Flavors
Judging by the flavor, this is my favorite! From the open packet, you can feel a mixture of tart mango skins mixed with bright guava, albeit with almost no peach promised. The vapor changes the picture drastically: the mango is already sweet and sugary, the skins fade into the background, as does the guava and the peach that never appeared. Overall, it reminds me of a multi-fruit juice of exotic fruits, in which no sugar and dense pulp have been spared. Aftertaste is too sweet, after a puff it seems that you have eaten a spoonful of mango fruit puree, which you want to drink with water as soon as possible. Or take another puff. Not a favorite, even despite the mango.
Geek Bar X6000 RAINBOW SUGAR
Manufacturer’s description: Sour-sweet fruit candies
GeekBar X6000 Rainbow Sugar single-serve.
If you didn’t get enough sugar in the previous flavor, you’re welcome – “fruit candy”. However, the flavor here is much better. The smell is hard to describe other than “caramel, sweet and slightly sour”, but surprisingly, it does not cause rejection. And here you can already feel besides sugar a distinct citrus sourness, weak, even gentle cold, not freezing the throat and back of the neck, the aftertaste is not cloying, but on the contrary, quite light and not long. A pleasant, unobtrusive flavor that can be compared to a sweet and sour sprinkle of gelatinous “worms”. Great!
Geek Bar X6000 BLUE RAZZ
Manufacturer’s description: Moderately sweet, mild, with a slight creamy finish
GeekBar X6000 BlueRazz Single-Use Vape
Raspberry, nice flavor, not tart at all and more like soda than fresh berry or jam. The flavor at the very beginning of the puff straight into the tongue with acidity, which is very unexpected, rolled with sweetness and finished with a light throat-cooling cooler and the taste of freshly cracked berry seeds. The raspberries tasted even more natural on the palate than they smelled, and without any citrus or other lemonade. Cheerful and pleasant, if it were not for the horse nicotine content, which adds an additional flavor on the exhale.
Geek Bar X6000 BLUEBERRY JELLY
Manufacturer’s description: Delicious classic flavor
Well, it’s not exactly the most all-natural blueberry flavor here, but still not the over-aromatic blackberry flavor that is often passed off as blueberry. Overall, it smells plausibly like fresh berry jam. The flavor is about the same, with a proper sourness and even a coldness peculiar to jelly, already habitually for X6000 sweet and with a pleasant, long aftertaste. Instead of Jelly in the name it could have been Sorbet, Drink and Candy, but still the producer has chosen a rather clear definition for his blueberry mix. It looks and tastes good.
Geek Bar X6000 ROSE LYCHEE
Manufacturer’s description: A sweet and aromatic flavor popular in Southeast Asia
The smell of lychee is easily recognizable and even quite believable, but only resembles more of a drink or candy. It seems that this is not some sort of “pink lychee”, but literally “rose with lychee”, to my taste the flavor has not that openly perfumed, but some clearly floral notes. Which is confirmed already from the first puff. Lychee is a rather peculiar fruit by itself, and with rose it is perceived ambiguously. I don’t even know how to describe it in details. There is fruity sourness and tartness in the pairing, there is confectionery sweetness, but the most unusual thing is the floral notes in the exhale, which are quite organically woven into the lychee flavor. All in all, if you’re not afraid of experimentation, definitely give it a try. But even for my perverted taste it’s something strange. Some might really like it, though.
Geek Bar X6000 ALOE GRAPE
Manufacturer’s description: aloe herb and fruit blend
Just grape flavor, though sweet, and with a noticeable herbaceous note that could easily be mistaken for tart berry skins. On the palate, at least on the inhale, it’s sour-sweet berries that take on an additional astringent tinge on the exhale. Not so herbaceous as to be mistaken for the flavor of aloe or cactus, but still more intense than even the thick berry skins. A very flavorful, pleasant and even harmonious taste, albeit with the same horse sugar portion and slight cooler, just a bit more tart than we’re used to.
Geek Bar X6000 LUSH ICE.
Manufacturer’s description: fruity and refreshing, tantalizing the receptors
Quite classic, yet bright flavor of sweet watermelon candy, where you can recognize the candied pulp with a small portion of fresh herbs. The flavor is just as intense: cold on the throat, with a little sourness and sugar on the aftertaste, and the freshness of white watermelon flesh on the exhale. There’s nothing to pick on here, just as it’s very hard to tear yourself away, which given the strength is extremely dangerous. One of my favorites.
Geek Bar X6000 MENTHOL.
Manufacturer’s description: Yep, minty flavor and aroma
Well, and the last device, which after opening the package pleased with a sweet minty gum flavor, like some good old doublemint. And as great as it smelled, it turned out to be a disappointment: the device inside the package leaked, so it was impossible to taste it. It seems that the battery and electronics were flooded, because the board didn’t work either for puffing or charging. Well, that turned out to be a good enough reason to see what’s inside.
The case is completely plastic, the top part is made in the form of a cork, but you won’t be able to get it out with a rush – it is additionally fastened with a couple of drops of glue. It is not clear how and why the device leaked, as the liquid is not in liquid form, but stored in the filler. Apparently, either the composition was too liquid, or “overdone” when filling. The electronics and the battery are separated from the synthesizer by a silicone partition, and additionally have their own protection, there is even an absorbent pad. Which, however, did not save the device. On the battery you can look at the markings and see its capacity – 2.33 W*h, which at a voltage of 3.7 volts just gives the promised 630 mAh.
