Review of Exceed Box with Exceed D22C by Joyetech

Today we will review another new kit from the restless company Joyetech, which is famous for its good devices for beginners. This time we will talk about a set of a box mod with a built-in battery Exceed Box and a slightly modified clearomizer D22C.

Packaging Exceed Box with Exceed D22C

The kit comes in a standard white cardboard Joyetech box with a device print on the lid, the manufacturer’s name and the name of the setup. I don’t know if the company has learned to make prints that match the contents (i.e. the same color), but in my case the colors on the package and inside matched. Among other things, my box is decorated with a sticker saying Sample Not for Sale, which is not marked anywhere on the device itself. vape devices in new zealand The back side lists the contents, the company details, the main characteristics of the device (power and voltage of the charging current), a sticker with the serial number and check for originality and a barcode indicating the color.

Exceed Box with Exceed D22C package contents

Once again, I only come across instructions in English in Joyetech products, they are found in pre-release devices. In any case, you can always easily download a multilingual manual with a mandatory high-quality Russian translation from the manufacturer’s website. Otherwise, everything is pretty standard, almost completely repeating the contents of the Cuboid Lite box. The package can only be praised for having the most necessary things.

The setup can be safely described as “a-stick-like”: a small box mod the height of an 18650 battery and an atomizer shifted to the opposite edge from the only button. But unlike the good old a-stick, you will not find a screen here, there is only a color-light indication of operation, like in the Exceed D19 battery or the good old e-stick. In fact, the indication here is more informative, but we will return to it later.

At the time of the start of sales, Joyetech released five colors of the kit: black, black and white, orange, steel and white, i.e. there are exactly the same solutions as for the Exceed D19. To be honest, the color palette looks a little faded, I would like to see something brighter and more cheerful, as in the case of the Cuboid Lite.

The Exceed Box turned out to be quite small in size, slightly higher (by a couple of millimeters) than the 18650 battery, which can make it a good alternative to the Exceed D19 “ego”, in which the battery capacity is exactly half as much. On the front side (if you can call it that) the name of the device is printed, on the back there is the manufacturer’s logo and a connector for charging with a current of up to 1A. The button is almost exactly the same as on the battery of its younger brother: round plastic, with a dull “plastic” click and soft press. The upper part with the connector is separated from the main body by transparent plastic, again, the operation indicator is implemented here in the same way. Fortunately, it can be easily turned off. The device is turned on and off by a standard five-fold press, in addition to the simple operation “press — vape”, there are several modes and functions, which we will consider below.

Impressions and conclusions

Comparison of the Exceed Box box mod with an 18650 batteryThe new device from Joyetech can be called the right step of the manufacturer towards the novice vaper. With a good battery capacity of 3000 mAh (according to my measurements, something like 3160 mAh “fit”) and a 1.2 Ohm evaporator, the Exceed Box will last quite a long time, and its functions and simple controls will definitely not scare off an unprepared user. The build quality can be called good, if you close your eyes to the not very durable paint on the tank, which arrived already with chips. I hope that everything will be much better in the release version. And on the Exceed D19 battery, scratches appeared quite quickly from the keys. In general, keep your kit away from metal objects, which is written directly in the instructions. I instantly “made friends” with the box mod with the Berserker MTL RTA tank, it turned out to be a compact and convenient bundle. I especially like the drip tips from Exceed atomizers – much better than the misunderstanding from Vandyvape, because they do not collect condensation and do not heat up, while they are quite suitable for cigarette puffs.

Replacing the evaporator in the Exceed D22C atomizer To be honest, I was not able to find any particular drawbacks during the time I used the device. There is still the same complaint about the design of the atomizer, when disassembling the tank, the evaporator is unscrewed from the base, and in order to screw it back, you must remove the glass – you can’t squeeze through with your fingers. But this should only be done when replacing the head, and you should still wash the atomizer design sometimes. There are no complaints about the battery pack, as there cannot be any about a simple and well-functioning device. The charge indicator behaves a little strangely, the first four divisions went out quickly for me, but on the last one I managed to evaporate a couple of tanks while the device turned off. But this is normal for simple Chinese battery packs.

Liked:

Simple and compact device

Large battery capacity

Clear charge indication

Top filling

Ability to use for different types of puffing

Fine airflow adjustment

Good flavor transfer (for the eGo format)

Disliked:

New format of evaporators (although, not really new)

Appearance of Exceed Box with Exceed D22C in hand

Joyetech Exceed Box with Exceed D22C may well be an excellent gift for a novice vaper, especially one who is put off by the appearance of a “dolphin” or “penguin”, despite the large volume of the tank. An experienced vaper may like the box mod itself, on which a cigarette tank will fit well – it turns out to be a small and convenient connection
