Review of Vaporesso SWAG 80W Kit
This article will discuss a new kit from Vaporesso with a single-battery box mod in the familiar “pico” format and a maintenance-free atomizer – SWAG 80W Starter Kit.
The format of a small battery block for one 18650 battery, once invented by Eleaf, has long been loved by many users and haunts manufacturers. Quite a convenient location of the battery and atomizer allows you to reduce the dimensions of the entire setup to a small size so that you can easily hide the device in the palm of your hand. It is not surprising that recently, when MTL tanks have returned in popularity, such devices are in well-deserved demand. And our old friend, the manufacturer Vaporesso, not long ago presented its version of “pico” – the Swag 80W Kit.
Packaging and accessories of the Vaporesso SWAG 80W Starter Kit
The small cardboard box shows the device of the exact color that awaits under the lid, the sticker with the barcode on the back confirms this – there is also the inscription ORANGE. thelema vape It is worth paying attention to the 3.5ML mark on the lid in a shiny sticker, there is also a version for the European market, where there is a limit on the volume of tanks, there, accordingly, will be the inscription 2ML. On the packaging you can find a lot of information about the contents, from the characteristics, dimensions and weight, to the manufacturer’s address and data on compliance with numerous ISO quality certificates. Naturally, Designed in California has not gone anywhere, but everything is still made in the Middle Kingdom at Smoore factories.

User Manuals
The cable, as always, is beautifully braided, but a bit short, only 50 cm. But what is great is the excellent Russian translation in the manual, which was found on one of three (!) sheets with different languages. A separate black envelope contains a standard warranty card and a card with warnings. A spare replacement evaporator is in a blister, but the one installed in the tank “smells” a little.
Appearance of the Vaporesso SWAG 80W Starter Kit
The “Californian” designers from Vaporesso are well-known fans of making unusually shaped devices. It would seem that what can be done with the hackneyed “pico” format? When you look at the SWAG, you see that there is still room for imagination more than making a plastic insert of a light green color or placing the display on the side. Although, of course, you can’t get away from the recognizable outlines.
At the time of publication, the Vaporesso Swag Kit was available in four colors: black, blue, steel and orange. The first three differ only in the frame coating, the side panels and ends are black. The black and blue ones also have black atomizers in the kit, in the other two cases – unpainted, i.e. steel. The cutest, orange, similar to a New Year’s tangerine, came to me for review.
Colors of the Vaporesso SWAG 80W TC box mod
Today, the choice consists of 16 (!) box mod options with a variety of body colors and bright prints on the panels, including thematic ones like Vape Life and others.
Impressions and conclusions
18650 battery and SWAG 80W TC Box ModThe mod worked great for about two weeks, which I had in my hands. Regarding the NRG SE Sub-Ohm Tank, I will only say that I did not find any differences compared to the previous NRG Tank, although the new product looks cheaper and simpler. There are no complaints about the board’s operation, as well as no comments on the response time. Yes, when you first press Fire after standby, it takes some time to trigger (half a second), but with the second click there is no delay. The device fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, the ergonomic shape and light weight (65g without battery) have an effect, the device practically merges with your hand, you simply stop noticing it. Again, I want to praise the OMNI board, and at the same time the implementation of controls with a small display. The choice and number of settings is simply excessive, but if you don’t need them, then you don’t need to get into these wilds, and the reset will always save you if something goes wrong. Support for resistance from 0.05 Ohm is a necessary and useful thing, but in this case (for a single-battery box mod), in my opinion, it’s unnecessary. The mod, although it “fries” at full power, does not do so for very long and quickly overheats. It’s unlikely that anyone would guess to run drippers with an ultra-low sub-ohm on “pico”. Plus high charging current and some unrealistic current output threshold of up to 50 A.
There is one significant (albeit personal) remark about the connector, or rather the fact that it does not support modern atomizers larger than 23 mm. And even with this diameter there may be problems, because the Taifun GT-II with its protruding knurling on the base will not screw on – the battery compartment cover gets in the way. It is clear that if you use the complete NRG SE Tank, then you will not encounter a problem, but if you want to screw on some Berserker MT RTA on 24 mm, then, alas. And this can alienate many users. With old-timers like Kayfun 4 or 5 there are no questions, there is enough reserve. I do not like the battery indicator in OMNI, why the manufacturer does not redesign it, I do not understand. Especially when the device can even show how much time is left until the end of charging via USB. Well, the Fire button seemed a bit small, although there are no special questions about it in everyday use and it does not cause discomfort. But this is more of a nitpick.
Liked:
Futuristic design and appearance
Ergonomic shape
Rich board functionality
Updatable software
Support resistance from 0.05 Ohm
High charging current up to 2A
Disliked:
Atomizers fit up to 23 mm
Uninformative battery indicator
Fire button is too small
